Islamabad, April 4, 2025: Rishad Hossain is preparing for a fresh challenge as he gets ready to join Lahore Qalandars in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The 22-year-old cricketer turned heads during the ICC T20 World Cup last year, where he claimed 14 wickets in just seven matches.

With no white-ball international fixtures for Bangladesh during the PSL window, BCB has granted Rishad a full-season no-objection certificate.

He is now set to join Lahore Qalandars squad, which includes the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Sam Billings, Fakhar Zaman, and Daryl Mitchell.
Rishad mentioned that he is likely to travel to Pakistan on April 6 or 7, though the exact flight schedule was yet to be finalized.
He expressed excitement about joining Lahore Qalandars, describing it as a strong team and acknowledging the challenge of fitting into such a competitive lineup.
The new head coach, Russell Domingo – a familiar face from his time coaching Bangladesh – had already spoken with Rishad in preparation for the tournament.
Looking ahead, Rishad said he was eager to face his Bangladesh teammates Liton Das and Nahid Rana, who are playing for Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi respectively.

While Bangladesh are expected to tour Pakistan for five T20Is in May, Rishad stated that his full attention remains on the PSL for now.
With determination and high hopes, the young spinner is aiming to make the most of this opportunity and finally leave his mark in franchise cricket.
The 10th edition of the PSL is scheduled to begin on April 11, with Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
