Islamabad, Feb 10: In a single day, 76 Pakistani nationals were deported from seven different countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Senegal. Upon arrival in Karachi, 17 individuals were detained and handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for further investigation.
Deportations by Country and Violations
According to immigration authorities, Saudi Arabia deported several individuals for various infractions:
- 3 individuals were blacklisted.
- 4 individuals were deported for engaging in begging.
- 6 individuals faced deportation due to drug-related offenses.
- 27 individuals were expelled for violating employment contracts.
- 4 individuals overstayed their visas.
- 2 individuals absconded from their workplaces.
- 2 individuals were involved in fraudulent activities.
- 2 individuals were deported for other legal violations.
Other deportations from different countries included:
- Sri Lanka: 1 individual was refused immigration entry.
- UAE: 2 individuals were deported for drug-related offenses, 2 for losing their passports, and 3 were released from prison and sent back to Pakistan.
- Azerbaijan: 1 individual was deported.
- Iraq: 1 person was expelled due to an expired visa.
- Malaysia: 2 individuals were deported as prohibited immigrants.
- Senegal: 3 individuals faced deportation.
- Italy: 1 individual was deported due to being blacklisted.
- UAE: 2 individuals were deported for involvement in human trafficking.
Action Against Human Trafficking
Upon arrival in Pakistan, individuals linked to human trafficking were immediately transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for legal proceedings. Additionally, 12 more deportees from Saudi Arabia and the UAE were placed under AHTC custody for further inquiries.
Authorities continue to monitor deportation trends to curb illegal activities and enhance security measures for Pakistani citizens traveling abroad.
