Islamabad, Mar 11 2025: Rohit Sharma has indicated that while he is enjoying his current form and leadership role, he remains uncertain about his participation in the 2027 Cricket World Cup.
Speaking after triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where he was named Player of the Match in the final, Sharma dismissed retirement rumours but refrained from committing to the next World Cup.
The right-handed batter also acknowledged that while he is performing well, it is difficult to predict his future in the sport cricket.
The 38-year-old stated that he is keeping all his options open and will assess his playing form over time.
Rohit Sharma emphasized that as long as he continues to enjoy the game and contribute to the team, he will remain active in international cricket.
Sharma also highlighted the camaraderie within the current squad, which he described as a key reason for his continued involvement in the game.
