The route of the soon to be launched Islamabad-Rawalpindi High Speed Train has been disclosed today.
According to details, during a high-level meeting today, it was agreed to expedite completion of the rail link from Margalla Station in Islamabad to Saddar Station in Rawalpindi.
This likely means that this will be the route of the high-speed train. However, it is likely that the government may launch feeder buses to facilitate passengers. However, no such details have been made public yet.

Under the plan, the Ministry of Railways will provide the track infrastructure while the Capital Development Authority (CDA), will manage the service.
The government also decided to import state-of-the-art trains to ensure modern, comfortable, and efficient operations.
