Islamabad, March 19 2025: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to convene on Sunday, March 30, 2025 (29th Ramazan) to observe the Shawwal moon.
Which will determine the conclusion of Ramadan and confirm the official date for Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan.
The primary meeting will take place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, where religious scholars, meteorologists, and other officials will analyze moon sighting reports gathered from various parts of the country.
At the same time, zonal committees in different regions will hold separate meetings to record eyewitness testimonies.

However, the final confirmation will depend on verified testimonies, as Pakistan follows the traditional method of unaided-eye moon sighting to officially declare the start of Shawwal.
Before making an announcement, authorities will carefully examine both scientific calculations and eyewitness reports.
This meeting holds significant importance as it confirms the beginning of Shawwal, marking the end of Ramadan and the arrival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Religious scholars, meteorological experts, and other relevant authorities will participate in the session to ensure an accurate moon sighting report.
The central committee will also coordinate with zonal moon sighting committees in different regions to gather testimonies regarding the visibility of the Shawwal crescent.
