The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) inched up by 2.89 paisa against the US Dollar during Tuesday’s interbank session, closing at Rs. 280.87 per USD compared to 280.90 in the previous session.
The currency also showed marginal gains against other major currencies. Rupee strengthened by 15.97 paisa against the Euro, 52.95 paisa against the British Pound, and 1.09 rupees against the Swiss Franc.
Meanwhile, it slightly weakened against the Japanese Yen by 0.74 paisa. Gains against the Chinese Yuan, Saudi Riyal, and UAE Dirham were modest.

During the current fiscal year, the rupee has appreciated 2.89 rupees (1.03%) against the USD but has lost 2.32 rupees (0.83%) in the calendar year so far. In the money market, the 6-month Karachi Interbank bid and offer rates remained unchanged at 10.93% and 11.18% respectively.
