Islamabad, Oct 23: Rupee Holds Steady against US Dollar, Climbs to 299 Against Euro. After starting the day at 278 on the interbank market, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) remained steady in relation to the US dollar (USD).
It closed in green against the greenback after being steady throughout the day. During today’s session, it recorded gains against the majority of the other major currencies. Before closing at the 277 level, the interbank rate remained at that level for the majority of the day. Today, open market rates at several currency counters stayed between 278 and 281.
The PKR gained one paisa against the US dollar today, closing at 277.72. To date, the rupee has gained 0.22 percent on a fiscal year basis.
In the interbank market today, the PKR was up versus the majority of the other major currencies.Despite being stable, it closed lower than the Saudi Riyal (SAR) and the UAE Dirham (AED).
In the meantime, its value declined by two paisas in relation to the Canadian dollar (CAD).
In today’s interbank currency market, it increased by 61 paisas against the Australian dollar (AUD), 1.06 paisas against the British pound (GBP), and 1.44 paisas against the euro (EUR).
