Islamabad, Sep 5: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) reversed its 3-day losing streak against the US Dollar (USD) today after opening trade at 278 in the interbank market.
It closed the green against the greenback after remaining steady all day. During today’s session, it recorded losses compared to the majority of the other major currencies.
The interbank rate closed at 278/$, where it had spent the majority of the day. Today’s open market rates were rigidly set at the 278 level across a number of currency exchanges.
The Pakistani Rupee gained nine paisas versus the US dollar today, and it appreciated by 0.03 percent to settle at 278.67.
Thus far this fiscal year, the rupee has lost 0.12% of its value.
Against the majority of the other major currencies in the interbank market today, the PKR was in the red.In relation to the Australian dollar (AUD), the Canadian dollar (CAD), the British pound (GBP), and the euro (EUR), it lost 25 paisas, 52 paisas, and 71 paisas, respectively.
In today’s interbank currency market, it gained two paisas against the UAE Dirham (AED) and three paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
