Islamabad, Sep 24: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) rebounded today against the US Dollar (USD) after opening at 278 in the interbank market.
The currency remained stable throughout the day, closing at 277.80, which reflects a modest appreciation of 0.02 percent or six paisas against the dollar. On a fiscal year-to-date basis, the PKR has appreciated by 0.19 percent.
However, the PKR experienced losses against most other major currencies during today’s session. It fell by 53 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD), 81 paisas against the Euro (EUR), 93 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), and 2.49 rupees against the British Pound (GBP) in the interbank market.
Throughout the day, the interbank rate remained stable at 278/$, with open market rates consistently between 277 and 278.
