Islamabad, May 27, 2025: Pakistan left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has risen to the top of the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings, reclaiming the No.1 spot after a re-shuffle at the top.

The 28-year-old Pakistan spinner moved up one spot following England’s Sophie Ecclestone, who had been at the top, missed her team’s recent T20I series against the West Indies.

India’s Deepti Sharma holds the second spot, while Australia’s Annabelle Sutherland has moved into third. Ecclestone, who previously held the top position, now finds herself outside the top three.

Sadia had previously reached the No. 1 ranking during the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and has remained one of the strengths in Pakistan’s bowling attack.

She has taken 52 wickets in just 41 T20Is, boasting an exceptional economy rate of 5.77. In One Day Internationals (WODIs), she has bagged 27 wickets in 23 appearances.

England’s Lauren Bell, who took seven wickets against the West Indies, jumped 13 places to No. 6 whereas; other English bowlers Linsey Smith and Issy Wong also climbed the rankings after strong showings.
