Islamabad, July 3, 2025: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Department has issued a safety advisory for tourists in light of ongoing monsoon rains across the province. The advisory highlights potential risks due to flash floods, landslides, and dangerously slippery roads, particularly in hilly and mountainous regions.

Travelers have been urged to avoid unnecessary movement and stay updated on weather forecasts from the Meteorological Department. According to the advisory, tourism in rain-affected or flood-prone areas should be postponed preventing accidents. Routes with narrow turns and steep gradients are especially hazardous during heavy rainfall.

“Tourists should call 1422 KP Tourism Helpline in case of emergencies,” the department stated.
