Islamabad, 22 March 2025: Sahibzada Farhan has etched his name in history by registering the highest individual score by a Pakistani batter in T20 cricket.
The 29-year-old achieved this milestone on March 21 while representing Peshawar Region against Quetta Region in the National T20 Cup at Multan Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Farhan played a sensational innings, scoring an unbeaten 162 off just 72 balls.
His explosive knock included 14 boundaries and 11 sixes, breaking Kamran Akmal’s record of 150 runs, which was set in 2017 during a National T20 Cup match for Lahore Whites against Islamabad at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Joins Elite List of T20 Greats
Farhan’s 162-run innings not only set a national record but also placed him among the highest individual scorers in T20 history.
He equaled the scores of Zimbabwe’s Hamilton Masakadza and Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai, who also posted 162* in T20 cricket.
However, the highest-ever individual T20 score remains with West Indies’ Chris Gayle, who smashed an unbeaten 175 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 2013 IPL.
