The short clips, where Lodhi humorously portrays day-to-day situations, quickly turned into an online sensation, drawing a mix of appreciation and trolling from audiences.
As the videos gained traction, several well-known stars including Ijaz Aslam, Faisal Qureshi, Yasir Nawaz, and comedian Tabish Hashmi jumped on the trend, recreating Sahir Lodhi’s style in lighthearted parodies. These spoofs spread rapidly, with netizens adding their own versions. However, not everyone found the mockery fair. Actress Mehwish Hayat came forward, defending Lodhi by highlighting that it’s unjust to belittle someone who has worked hard for years in the entertainment industry.
Sahir Lodhi’s Reaction to Parodies
In response, Sahir Lodhi maintained a calm and composed stance. He explained that he respects everyone’s right to share their opinion:
“People have the right to like or dislike me—that’s their choice. Allah has given freedom of opinion to everyone, and I can’t stop anyone from expressing it.”
Though he admitted that certain comments were painful, Lodhi stressed that he sees the parody videos as harmless fun and has no intention of retaliating in the same mocking tone.
