Islamabad, Oct 25: Sajid Khan Plays Through Stitches Against England, ‘For the Nation, Such Things Don’t Matter.’On Day 2 of the third Test match between England and Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Sajid Khan showed some steadfast dedication to playing for his nation. Sajid impressed both fans and analysts, and his tenacity took center stage.
Despite several obstacles, he batted at No. 10 and scored a quick 37 off 31 balls. Sajid attempted an audacious lap shot off of England’s youthful leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed during his innings. Regretfully, the ball hit him on the chin after deflecting off his bat. He needed immediate medical assistance on the field because blood was streaming down his neck and cheek. He was unfazed and continued to bat to put Pakistan in a commanding position.

With the lower order once again stepping up to cover the top hitters’ inconsistencies, Pakistan put up a fantastic all-around performance. The most impressive player was Saud Shakeel, who led the innings with a cool 134. His knock, which featured patiently rotating blows, tough defense, and consistent technique throughout, was a masterclass in adjusting to challenging circumstances.
With the bat, the spinners also contributed significantly. Sajid remained undefeated at 48, while Noman Ali added 45. Their pivotal collaboration with Shakeel changed the course of events, turning a potential loss into a manageable 77-run lead.
After losing three crucial wickets late in the day, England would be in a difficult situation. Pope struggled with his technique against the low bounce, Crawley was taken down by Sajid’s deft slider, and Duckett was pinned in the crease. Joe Root will be heavily relied upon to lead England through what appears to be a failing surface with seven wickets left and a 53-run deficit.
