Islamabad, Aug 24: Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, landed in Cairo on Saturday for a five-day official visit to take part in the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs’ 35th International Conference.
The Egyptian Ministry of Endowments is hosting the conference, with the theme being “The Role of Women in Building Awareness.” Senior representatives from the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments, together with Pakistan’s ambassador to Egypt, Sajid Bilal, greeted the minister upon his arrival.
Minister Salik is anticipated to interact with scholars and leaders from around the world during the conference to discuss the critical role that women play in raising awareness and encouraging unity among Muslim communities around the globe.
