Islamabad, Feb 13: Samsung has officially revealed the repair costs for the Galaxy S25 series, bringing a surprising advantage for users—significantly lower display repair prices. This makes the S25 series more affordable to fix compared to its predecessor, particularly in India.

Reduced Display Repair Costs

One of the key cost-saving changes in the S25 lineup is the uniform display panel used across all three models. This streamlined production process results in a notable price drop for screen replacements. Additionally, the S25 Ultra features the advanced Gorilla Armor 2, which enhances durability. However, the improved back glass protection has slightly increased the cost of back panel repairs.

Higher Costs for Motherboard, Battery, and Frame Replacements

While display repairs have become more affordable, other component replacements have seen price increases. The motherboard replacement cost has risen by over $50, likely due to the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Battery replacement costs have also increased slightly across all models, despite no change in battery capacity or design. This may be attributed to rising production expenses rather than hardware modifications.

Model Display ($) Back Glass ($) Frame ($) Motherboard ($) Battery ($)
Galaxy S24 103.20 27.48 32.28 256GB: 277.56, 512GB: 307.56 27.36
Galaxy S25 73.80 31.32 43.32 128GB: 331.56, 256GB: 338.88, 512GB: 356.16 29.64
Galaxy S24+ 150.24 28.80 38.04 256GB: 337.80, 512GB: 380.64 25.80
Galaxy S25+ 100.80 30.72 41.52 256GB: 343.56, 512GB: 383.64 28.92
Galaxy S24 Ultra 199.32 31.92 87.48 256GB: 388.56, 512GB: 401.52, 1TB: 429.12 23.40

While the base and Plus models of the S25 series have seen an increase in middle frame replacement costs, the Ultra model benefits from a cost reduction due to design optimizations.

Enhanced Display and Performance

Samsung has integrated several key improvements into the S25 Ultra. The Gorilla Armor 2 not only enhances durability but also includes an improved anti-reflective coating, which boosts outdoor visibility despite retaining the same peak brightness as the S24 Ultra.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Galaxy S25 series delivers superior peak performance and enhanced AI capabilities, thanks to a more powerful NPU. Despite the battery capacity remaining unchanged, Samsung’s One UI 7 optimizations and the efficiency of the new chip contribute to better overall battery life.
