Islamabad, April 3, 2025: Saud Shakeel has trolled PCB for its frequent changing policy in head coaches, highlighting the instability within the team.
Shakeel, who represented Pakistan at the 2025 Champions Trophy earlier this year, was notably excluded from the squad for the white-ball tour of New Zealand.
In a recent interview, Shakeel was posed a hypothetical question about what he would do if he were appointed chairman of the cricket board.
He responded that he would ensure the appointment of a permanent coach, someone who would stay in the position for three years without disruption.

His comment was seen as a veiled critique of the erratic coaching appointments of PCB, which have left the team grappling with a lack of continuity in leadership.
The remarks of left-handed batter come at a time when the Pakistan cricket team is facing one of its most challenging phases in recent years.
Along with a series of disappointing losses, the Green Shirts has witnessed several head coaches stepping down.
Morne Morkel resigned as bowling coach in late 2023, followed by Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, who left due to alleged power struggles with the PCB.

The instability in the Men in Green has drawn criticism from several quarters, with Shakeel not being the only player to voice concerns.
On the same day, Kamran Akmal also called for the resignation of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, citing Pakistan’s poor performance across all formats.
As the national team continues its tour in New Zealand, the cricketing woes of Pakistan show no sign of abating.
After losing the five-match T20I series 1-4, the national side has already conceded defeat in the first two ODIs of the ongoing three-match ODI series.
