Islamabad, Dec 8: Nine important instructions have been prepared by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to help female pilgrims ensure a smooth and courteous visit to these sacred locations. An infographic containing the guidelines was posted on the Authority’s official X account, which was formerly known as Twitter.
Within the prayer areas, pilgrims who are female are encouraged to adhere to certain customs. These include avoiding sleeping or sitting on the floors, assisting personnel, dressing modestly in Islamic garb, and making sure that prayer rows are properly aligned.
Other suggestions emphasize the need of maintaining cleanliness, abstaining from food and beverages in places of prayer, minimizing noise levels, and not walking on carpets while wearing shoes.
Additionally, pilgrims are encouraged to protect their possessions by never leaving them unattended. These guidelines are intended to preserve the sanctity of the hallowed areas and promote a peaceful worship atmosphere for every guest.
