According to a foreign news agency, the Saudi Traffic Department has announced that leaving children under the age of 10 in a vehicle without an adult will be considered a violation of traffic laws.

The Traffic Department stated that a fine ranging from 300 to 500 riyals may be imposed for leaving children under 10 years old alone in a vehicle. Officials emphasized that the safety of children is the responsibility of parents, and leaving them alone in a vehicle puts their lives at risk.

Traffic authorities also stated that compliance with traffic laws and regulations is essential, and measures should be taken to ensure the safety of children during travel. They added that the purpose of these penalties is to raise social awareness and protect human lives
