Islamabad, Mar 3, 2025: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has introduced essential health protocols for Umrah pilgrims, highlighting the necessity of vaccinations to prevent infectious diseases before travel.
According to the ministry, all pilgrims must receive the meningitis vaccine at least 10 days before departure, as it significantly reduces the risk of contracting the disease.
Additionally, health officials strongly recommend seasonal flu and influenza vaccinations, especially for elderly travelers and individuals with pre-existing medical conditions.
These vaccinations should ideally be completed a minimum of two weeks before departure to ensure full immunity.
