The Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia has proposed seven conditions for licensing companies that provide services to Umrah pilgrims.

According to a report by the Saudi news agency, the conditions proposed by the Ministry of Hajj on the survey platform include that the company must be 100% owned by a Saudi citizen and registered in the Kingdom. The company’s capital must not be less than 500,000 riyals.

Reports further state that the license application must be accompanied by an unconditional bank guarantee verified by the Saudi Central Bank. The company must also provide written details regarding its operational field and plan.

Details must be provided for each entity, including its budget capacity and workforce.

If any company or institution violates the approved licensing regulations, the Ministry has the right to suspend the license. In such a case, the violator will be given 30 days to correct the issue. Each company must have the ability to meet its financial obligations.

Positions and roles must be clearly defined, and the Ministry must be informed in writing if any official is replaced.

If the owner of the company or institution passes away, the license will be cancelled.

Additionally, if a company defaults, its director must notify the Ministry in writing.

The conditions further state that if it is proven that a company owner or responsible party has transferred or leased the license to another person, the Minister of Hajj has the authority to revoke the license. If no activity is carried out under the license for one year, it will be cancelled.
