The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has signed contracts worth $121 million to support major development projects in Pakistan. The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki said on Friday that Saudi Arabia remains committed to Pakistan growth and prosperity.

The projects include the King Salman Hospital in Tarlai and two hydropower projects in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Shounter and Jagran. These initiatives aim to provide essential services, create economic opportunities and improve the lives of Pakistani citizens.

According to details, the King Salman Hospital will be financed through a $20 million grant from Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the Shounter and Jagran hydropower projects will be developed with concessional loans of $66 million and $35 million.

Al-Malki noted that these projects highlight Riyadh ongoing support for Pakistan development journey and its focus on long-term cooperation between the two countries.
