Islamabad, Aug 12, 2025: In an extraordinary real-life story from Taif, Saudi Arabia, a woman stunned everyone with an unmatched gesture of compassion — she donated a major portion of her liver to her husband’s second wife. This rare act has been making headlines, proving that humanity and kindness know no boundaries.

According to Gulf News, Noura Salem Al-Shammari, the first wife of Majid Balda Al-Ruqi, stepped forward to help Taghrid Awad Al-Saadi — her husband’s second wife — who had been battling severe health complications. Taghrid had been on dialysis for a long time due to complete kidney failure, which later caused significant liver damage.

Earlier, Majid had even traveled to the United States in search of a cure, but medical efforts there were unsuccessful. In a selfless move, Majid decided to donate one of his kidneys to Taghrid. Inspired by her husband’s dedication, Noura took the life-changing decision to donate 80% of her liver purely for the sake of Allah. After compatibility tests confirmed a match, doctors performed the transplant successfully.
