Islamabad, Feb 16: The Pakistani expatriate community in Saudi Arabia has expressed strong commitment to supporting Pakistani IT and tech companies, aiming to boost investments and exports in the sector.
In a recent event hosted by Majlise Pakistan, a professional forum for Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia, delegates attending LEAP 2025 gathered in Riyadh to explore business growth opportunities. The networking session focused on business development, talent acquisition, partnerships, and joint ventures for Pakistani IT firms looking to expand in the Saudi market.
Strategic Partnership for IT Growth
Speaking at the event, Saad Shah, CEO of Hexalyze, highlighted that Pakistani professionals in Saudi Arabia can play a pivotal role in helping IT firms establish operations in the Kingdom. Instead of relocating staff from Pakistan—a costly process—companies can hire Pakistan-origin IT professionals already based in Saudi Arabia as employees or consultants to scale up operations efficiently.
Saudi Arabia is home to over a million Pakistani expatriates, making it the largest overseas Pakistani community. The country also contributes the highest share of remittances to Pakistan. Given this strong connection, the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) President and CEO, Tufail Ahmed Khan, emphasized that experienced Pakistani IT entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia can offer valuable insights to new investors navigating the Kingdom’s market dynamics.
Collaboration & Investment Opportunities
Saqib Zubair, Patron-in-Chief of Majlise Pakistan, reaffirmed the community’s dedication to collaborating with Pakistani IT startups entering Saudi Arabia’s expanding tech industry. He added that Pakistani investors in the Kingdom are eager to invest in promising Pakistani companies alongside their Saudi partners, helping enhance Pakistan’s presence in the region’s tech ecosystem.
