Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has invited Saudi investors to take part in Pakistan’s major infrastructure projects, including motorway and road developments.
The minister highlighted this during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Aljasser, at the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC 2025).
Abdul Aleem Khan specifically encouraged investment in the M-6 Motorway (Sukkur–Hyderabad), M-10 Motorway (Hyderabad–Karachi Port), M-13 Motorway (Kharian–Rawalpindi), and the Mansehra–Naran–Jalkhad–Chilas (MNJC) Road. He noted that the MNJC project is commercially promising due to its tourism potential and offers a strong opportunity for investors.
The minister briefed the Saudi official on Pakistan’s growing road network and opportunities for investment in key national projects. He said the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has strengthened relations and created a wider framework for collaboration across sectors.
Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy long-standing and brotherly relations, and there is potential to expand cooperation in infrastructure, transport, and logistics. He welcomed the Saudi Minister to Pakistan and expressed hopes for more frequent engagements in the future.

In response, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Aljasser expressed strong interest in Pakistan’s communication and transport sector. He invited Abdul Aleem Khan to visit Saudi Arabia and requested Pakistan’s support in the upcoming International Maritime Organisation (IMO) elections, which the minister assured.
The Saudi official also praised Pakistan’s development projects and offered Saudi collaboration in technology, road safety, and logistics initiatives.
