Islamabad, June 30, 2025: The Saudi Riyal (SAR) held steady against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) in the open market today, 30 June 2025. The buying rate remained at Rs75.64, while the selling rate stood firm at Rs76.21.
This continued stability follows slight fluctuations last week and reflects sustained inflows from overseas Pakistanis, especially from Saudi Arabia. With thousands of families dependent on remittances, the SAR to PKR exchange rate remains one of the most closely watched in Pakistan.
1,000 Saudi Riyals = Rs75,640
At the current rate, exchanging 1,000 SAR gives Rs75,640. According to currency dealers in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, market activity remained consistent, driven by Hajj-related travel and regular remittance demand.
Why the SAR to PKR Rate Matters
The Saudi Riyal to PKR rate significantly affects the Pakistani economy. A stable exchange rate supports purchasing power, especially for households receiving foreign remittances. It also influences import costs and inflation trends.
For overseas Pakistanis, even small rate changes can impact how much money reaches their families. As of now, the steady exchange rate is a relief for many, especially during the post-Hajj financial cycle.
