Islamabad, 3 june 2025: Eid-ul-Adha Holidays will bring a nationwide pause to key financial institutions, as both the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) have announced closures from Friday, June 6, to Monday, June 9, 2025.
In separate statements, the two organizations confirmed they will suspend all operations during this four-day period in observance of the religious festival.

The PSX informed its traders, employees, and stakeholders of the temporary closure via an official notification, extending early Eid greetings to all. Similarly, the central bank also confirmed that all banking services will remain unavailable during the designated public holiday period.
This suspension aligns with the federal government’s earlier declaration of public holidays for Eid-ul-Adha Holidays, as outlined in a notice issued by the Cabinet Division.

The government has approved a break from June 6 to June 9, allowing citizens to fully participate in the spiritual and cultural observances of the festival.
As Eid-ul-Adha Holidays approach, economic activity is expected to slow down temporarily, with normal operations across financial markets and public offices set to resume from Tuesday, June 10.
