Islamabad, Nov 4: SBP Cuts Key Interest Rate for the Fourth Time in Four Months. On Monday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) declared that, as of November 4, 2024, the interest rate has been lowered by 250 basis points to 15 percent.
Following a meeting of the bank’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), SBP issued an official press release announcing the move. This is the central bank’s fourth cut in a row. During the last four monetary policy sessions, the central bank has lowered the policy rate by 700 basis points overall.
