Islamabad, Nov 27: Schools and Colleges in Islamabad and Rawalpindi Set to Reopen Tomorrow (Thursday), all government and private schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will reopen after being closed for three days due to a protest organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made the declaration following a clearance operation in which PTI demonstrators were driven out of the demonstration site. According to Naqvi, “mobile internet services will be restored by Wednesday morning, and schools will reopen tomorrow (Thursday).”
Parents were worried about how the disturbance would affect their children’s education because the schools had been closed since Saturday in reaction to the PTI’s scheduled demonstration on November 24.
In the twin cities, parents bemoaned the extended shutdown and the difficulties it presented for their kids’ academic development. While some regions switched to online education, many parents felt that it was insufficient, especially for younger pupils, as compared to face-to-face instruction.
All roadblocks were removed on Wednesday morning, restoring normalcy to Rawalpindi and Islamabad. To restore the city’s functionality, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon oversaw cleaning efforts at strategic intersections and gave assistant commissioners instructions to guarantee the prompt reopening of all roads.
