Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali said that 80 government schools across Sialkot district will remain closed until 10 September due to the impact of floodwater.
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the closures followed a directive from the School Education Department, as several schools have been affected by flooding, with water still standing in some premises.
In Tehsil Sialkot, many schools will stay closed from September 8 to 10. Government schools in Tehsils Daska and Pasrur are also included in the affected list. In Tehsil Sambrial, teaching activities will remain temporarily suspended in several institutions.
