A 16-year-old student from North Lindsey College has been selected to represent the England Colleges football squad.
According to the media report, Sophia, a goalkeeper, earned her spot in squad after impressing during a trial in Hull.
The Talented student of Lindsey College will now travel to Rome this month to compete for her country in an international tournament.
Currently playing as the Under-21 goalkeeper for Doncaster Belles, she is in her fifth season with the club.
Reflecting on her football journey, she described it as both challenging and rewarding, having started at a toddlers’ football group.
She expressed gratitude for the opportunities she has received, highlighting her experience of playing at St George’s Park as one of her career’s standout moments.
She credited North Lindsey College for supporting her development and looked forward to her next challenge with the England College team.
Sophia is pursuing a sports course at North Lindsey College and aspires to become a professional footballer.
