Islamabad, Sep 6: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued a Consultation Paper on areas of improvement in the public offering regime in order to foster capital formation.
The requisite regulatory amendments will be finalized after receiving public feedback and stakeholder consensus.
SECP said that it strongly supports and believes in making capital formation easier for entrepreneurs.
The Consultation Paper presents potential areas for improvement based on a thorough examination of the regulatory environment, international standards, emerging technology, and feedback from the market.
The SECP website, the concept paper is accessible. The September 20, 2024, stakeholders are requested by SECP to provide input on areas where the public offering system should be improved.
After the public comment period, SECP plans to have consultation meetings with the relevant parties.
