Islamabad, Oct 21: Seminar Focuses on Enhancing Pakistan’s Image and Attracting Investment. A breakfast seminar on “Promoting Pakistan’s Image and Investment at the World Economic Forum in Davos” and the importance of the Pakistan Pavilion at the next World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos in January 2025 was co-hosted by the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) and Pathfinder Group.
Through Pakistan’s presence at Davos, Pathfinder Group has been highlighting the numerous prospects accessible to the Pakistani business sector. For the past 20 years, the Pakistan Pavilion has been essential in promoting the nation’s commercial potential and drawing in foreign investment.
For a number of years, KCFR and Pathfinder Group have been working together at DAVOS to educate and support Pakistani entrepreneurs by offering a practical forum for fruitful conversations about shared interests and potential areas of cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Huma Baqai, Senior Vice Chairperson KCFR & Rector, Millennium Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship (MITE), who has been involved with the Pakistan Pavilion for a number of years, moderated the breakfast seminar. She did a great job of presenting the DAVOS environment and Pakistan’s potential in it.
Nadira Panjwani, chairperson of the KCFR, emphasized Pakistan’s unrealized potential and how it may be used to open up significant investment prospects. She discussed the special collaboration between KCFR and Sindh’s Investment Department (SID) to highlight the potential for future investments in Sindh across a range of industries.
The Pathfinder Group’s co-chairman and patron-in-chief of KCFR, Ikram Sehgal, gave his observations from previous WEF gatherings since 1994, emphasizing the countless opportunities the business sector has to investigate in Davos.
The purpose of the breakfast was to demonstrate how Pakistan may improve its standing internationally and draw in strategic investment to propel its economic expansion.
