Islamabad, Sep 30: Shadab Khan’s Panthers Crush Markhors to Clinch Champions One-Day Cup
Shadab Khan’s Panthers triumphed in the inaugural defeating the Markhors by five wickets at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium. The Panthers successfully chased down a modest target of 123 in 18 overs, despite a few stumbles.
The Markhors, opting to bat first, struggled against a disciplined Panthers bowling attack and were bowled out for 122 in 33.4 overs.
Fakhar Zaman top-scored with 46, while Mohammad Hasnain and Arafat Minhas led the Panthers’ bowling with three wickets each.
In response, Abdul Bangalzai anchored the chase with a vital 41. Despite losing some middle-order wickets, Rizwan Mehmood and Shadab Khan guided the Panthers to victory with 12 balls remaining.
