Sikh teen Onkar Singh tops Lahore Board Class 9 with 550/555 marks, scoring 98 in Islamiyat and near-perfect in Quran translation.
In a heartening example of academic excellence and harmony, Onkar Singh, a 15 year old Sikh student from Lahore, has topped the Class 9 examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore. What makes his achievement particularly notable is his near-perfect score of 98 out of 100 in Islamiyat, a compulsory subject that focuses on Islamic teachings, history and ethics.

Onkar’s performance goes far beyond one subject. According to his official mark sheet, accessed on the BISE Lahore website, he earned A+ grades across the board. His results include 75 in English, 74 in Urdu, 60 each in physics and chemistry, 59 in biology and an outstanding 49 out of 50 in the Translation of the Holy Quran. In total, he secured an extraordinary 550 out of 555 marks, a feat that reflects his dedication and versatility as a student.
