Islamabad, Mar 26, 2025: The Sindh School Education Department has introduced a detailed set of guidelines for teachers throughout the province, as per a report by ARY News.
The guidelines advise female educators to maintain a modest appearance by avoiding excessive cosmetics and high-heeled footwear.
Meanwhile, the guidelines expect male teachers to refrain from wearing informal clothing such as T-shirts and denim jeans.
Female staff members are encouraged to wear traditional attire and a gown while keeping accessories to a minimum.
Additionally, the education department has imposed a strict ban on the use of intoxicants, including narcotics, gutka, naswar, mawa, and smoking within school premises.
These measures aim to ensure a professional and disciplined educational environment.
Moreover, the school explicitly prohibits teachers from delegating personal errands to students, emphasizing a clear distinction between their professional duties and personal matters.

To address the shortage caused by these dismissals, the education department has announced plans to appoint new teachers strictly based on merit, replacing those found to be illegally drawing salaries.
Previously, in another initiative, the department instructed all district education officers (DEOs) to suspend the salaries of more than 1,000 absent teachers with immediate effect.
The Scrutiny Committee submitted a detailed report to the provincial education secretary, revealing that 1,000 teachers across Sindh were absent from their duties in October 2025.
Authorities established the committee to investigate absentee teachers after a surge in complaints within Sindh province.
The authorities remain committed to ensuring accountability and improving the education system through these ongoing reforms.
