ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 17: A new regulation prohibiting the use of plastic water bottles in all provincial government offices has been implemented by the Sindh administration.
Following the decision reached on Friday during a provincial cabinet meeting, a formal instruction was issued in the form of a circular.
The circular states that glass jugs and drinking glasses—more environmentally friendly options than plastic bottles—must be used in place of plastic bottles in all government workplaces. In an effort to cut down on plastic usage and promote environmental cleanliness, the government of Sindh has decided to outlaw plastic water bottles in all official buildings.
A restriction on sweetened, sugary drinks at official meetings inside the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination and its connected ministries was put into effect earlier this year.
