Islamabad, Nov 2: Sindh Crackdown on Unauthorized Vehicle Mods
In Karachi, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon declared a crackdown on police lights, tinted windows, and altered license plates. Strict measures will be implemented immediately.
Memon made it clear that nobody, no matter how powerful, would be permitted to disobey the regulations. To keep the peace, the Sindh government is dedicated to vigorously implementing the law.
The new regulations allow law enforcement to remove the plastic coating from private car tinted windows. The only people spared are those who have a medical certificate attesting to their sensitivity to sunlight.
Additionally, authorities will crack down on emergency beacons and police lights that are not permitted, including on official vehicles. They can only be used by officials who have appropriate permits.
Cars having forged or modified license plates will be seized. Cars that are unregistered or have the wrong license plates will also be seized.
In order to improve traffic safety and security throughout Karachi, residents are advised to abide by these new rules.
