The Sindh government has once again extended the deadline for Ajrak design number plates for all vehicles, giving owners until December 31, 2025 to replace their existing plates.

The Excise and Taxation Department issued a notification confirming that the earlier deadline of October 31 has been revised.

Officials said the extension aims to facilitate vehicle owners and ensure a smooth transition to the new Ajrak design number plates, which feature advanced security elements.

Sindh Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla clarified that the new plates can only be obtained from authorized Excise offices. Plates issued by unauthorized vendors or agents will be considered invalid.
