Islamabad, Oct 1: Sindh introduces online driving licence service for residents to enhance convenience.
Citizens can now easily acquire both learning and international online driving licence through this online platform, with plans to introduce non-commercial license renewal services soon.
Individuals interested in obtaining a learning license can do so by visiting the website https://dlsonline.sindhpolice.gov.pk/. After a waiting period of 42 days, they can apply for a permanent license at any branch.
During a recent ceremony, provincial Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar praised the IG Sindh and DIG Driving License for implementing these online services. He emphasized the importance of modern policing and expressed that the reputation of the Sindh Police would further improve.
Earlier, the Sindh government announced that all 11 driving license branches in the province have begun issuing international driving licenses.
This service is now also available online for Sindh residents who hold a valid license.
The issuance of international permits commenced on September 14 from six license branches in Karachi and in divisional cities including Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana.
The provision of applying for a driving licence while sitting at home would also reduce the burden on driving licence branches, he added.
He said that all over the world, traffic system was managed through information technology.
