Sindh has introduced the Worker Welfare Card Sindh (WWCS), a digital-first system aimed at providing 3.4 million registered industrial workers direct access to welfare benefits without paperwork or middlemen.
According to Labour Minister Shahid Abdul Salam Thahim, the initiative follows the vision of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and is designed to ensure that workers get their rights digitally and automatically.
Digital Benefits
The Worker Welfare Card Sindh allows employees to create a CNIC-linked digital profile on the official website. Through this profile, workers can access death grants, scholarships, marriage support and other financial assistance. Eligibility is verified instantly using NADRA, EOBI and employer records, eliminating the need for physical cards or office visits.
Health Insurance Coverage
In collaboration with Sindh Insurance Limited, the scheme also includes free accidental insurance for registered workers. This provides:
- Up to PKR 700,000 in annual cashless hospitalization
- Treatment at more than 250 hospitals across Pakistan
- 24/7 protection on and off duty
The coverage applies strictly to accidental injuries, ensuring transparency and financial stability of the program.

Transparent & Paperless System
The digital setup makes benefit distribution more secure. Features include automated NADRA-based death grant validation, geo-tagged district monitoring, tamper-proof claims and live dashboards for oversight. Authorities say this ensures every rupee goes to the rightful worker.
Registration Process
Workers can register online by entering their CNIC, employer and industry details. Once verified, their digital profile is activated. Only registered industrial workers are eligible, while dependents are not covered.
Officials believe the Worker Welfare Card Sindh sets a new benchmark for public welfare in Pakistan by safeguarding workers’ rights, cutting delays, and reducing dependency on agents.
