Islamabad, Oct 14: Sindh Police Officers to Receive Residential Plots and Interest-Free Motorcycles
A new welfare programme launched by the Sindh Police and the National Police Foundation (NPF) intends to give its employees, up to the rank of inspector, interest-free electric motorcycles and inexpensive home plots.
At a meeting held at the Police Headquarters in Garden South, senior police officers, including Additional IG Karachi, Sindh Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Nabi Memon, and district SSPs, made this announcement.
Irfan Zaman, Managing Director of the NPF, emphasized the foundation’s dedication to police personnel welfare. He disclosed that the NPF would provide Rs. 50,000 each plot toward the down payment of the first 2,000 home plots in the Police home Society. The goal of this program is to assist police in securing residences at a discounted cost.
Furthermore, Zaman declared that IG Sindh had started offering interest-free electric motorcycles on installment arrangements. Officers up to the inspector rank will benefit from the scheme, which will assist them with their transportation needs.
IG Sindh reaffirmed his support for the NPF’s work and shared his desire for all police officers to one day own homes. He also underlined the significance of the recently introduced, Rs. 5 billion police health insurance policy.
Once family data are updated through NADRA, this initiative will grant police personnel from any district access to leading hospitals in Karachi for medical care.
