Islamabad, June 27, 2025: The Sindh Police has officially launched its first-ever public driving school at the Police Training College in Saeedabad, Karachi. This new facility is set to train citizens in operating cars, motorcycles, and both light and heavy vehicles, aiming to build a culture of safe and responsible driving across the province.

The newly launched Sindh Police Driving School marks a major step in the force’s efforts to curb road accidents and improve traffic discipline. Speaking during an inspection of the school, Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon stated that the project is currently a pilot initiative for Karachi but will soon expand to Hyderabad, Larkana, and Khairpur.

“Safe driving is our goal,” IG Memon told media representatives. “The only way to prevent accidents is through trained drivers who understand the importance of following traffic laws.”

The school is fully equipped with standardized training courses and experienced instructors who will teach both theoretical and practical aspects of driving. Sindh Police officials emphasized that quality training is essential in reducing the increasing number of road accidents and fatalities.

This initiative comes at a time when untrained drivers and traffic violations remain key contributors to road mishaps across Sindh. By introducing structured education programs at the Sindh Police Driving School, the department hopes to build a new generation of responsible drivers.

The school is open to the general public, with accessible programs designed to accommodate all vehicle categories. Citizens who complete the program will be better equipped not only to pass driving tests but also to drive responsibly and confidently on busy roads.
