Islamabad, June 14, 2025: The Sindh government has announced a rise in monthly stipends for people with disabilities, increasing the allowance from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,000.

In addition to increase stipend, recipients will now also be provided with free meals and uniforms. This initiative is part of the provincial government ongoing efforts to uplift people with disabilities, ensuring stronger economic relief and easier access to basic necessities.

The revised stipend will come into effect in the upcoming financial year.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presented a Rs3,451.87 billion budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 on Friday in which he announced Rs523.73 billion for the education sector and Rs326.5 billion for health services in the upcoming fiscal year.

Moreover, 475 new development schemes, including renewable energy and clean drinking water projects, would be launched across flood-affected and underdeveloped areas.
