Islamabad, Dec 2: The Sindh Police has announced the creation of a database to track stolen, missing, and snatched vehicles, as well as offender information. The initiative was discussed during a meeting chaired by the IG Sindh to address vehicle-related crimes and crack down on scrap dealers involved in trading stolen goods.
Key Details:
- Database Integration: The database will be maintained with the help of CPLC, police, special branch, and other organizations. The information will be entered into a specialized application to ensure accurate tracking.
- Action Against Scrap Dealers: Since January 1, 912 scrap dealers have been targeted for involvement in illegal activities related to stolen goods.
- Crime Reduction: CPLC Chief Zubair Habib noted a significant reduction in crimes compared to the previous year, attributing the decrease to effective measures by the Sindh Police.
- Reliable Data: Additional IG Karachi confirmed that the crime data collected by the police and CPLC is both reliable and comprehensive.
