Islamabad, 13 June 2025: Electric Buses are set to transform public mobility across Sindh, as part of a significant government initiative aimed at promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly transport solutions.

According to a recent announcement by the provincial leadership, as many as 1,000 Electric Buses are expected to be rolled out across multiple cities in Sindh in the coming months. This move is seen as a key step in reducing urban air pollution and easing traffic-related challenges.
Karachi to Receive 500 New Electric Units
Karachi, the province’s capital and economic hub, has been earmarked for a major share of this transformation.

Officials confirmed that 500 Electric Buses are being procured specifically for the city’s metropolitan routes to address the surging demand for affordable and clean commuting options.
This initiative forms part of the broader climate-resilient transportation strategy, which aims to modernise infrastructure while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
