ISLAMABAD – June 13, 2025: The Sindh government has allocated Rs. 200 million in the 2025–26 provincial budget to recruit Subject Specialist Interns for higher secondary schools across the province. This initiative is aimed at addressing the ongoing shortage of qualified teachers in key academic subjects.

As part of this strategic move, the School Education & Literacy Department will onboard graduates and postgraduates as interns, particularly those holding master’s degrees in relevant subjects along with B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualifications. The objective is to support classroom teaching while providing professional development opportunities for aspiring educators.

The recruitment will be carried out by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), which has already advertised hundreds of subject specialist positions for the year 2025. The hiring process will involve a written test and interview, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection system.

Applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and prepare accordingly for the competitive recruitment process.

This budgetary allocation is part of Sindh’s broader plan to improve the quality of education by filling crucial teaching gaps and providing young educators with meaningful career opportunities within the public sector.
