Islamabad, June 21, 2025: In a significant shift, the Sindh College Education Department has approved a fresh admission policy for the academic year 2025-26, allowing students to secure admissions in Class XI using their Class IX results. This move, aimed at streamlining the process and reducing delays, will be implemented across government colleges under the Sindh Electronic Centralized College Admission Programme (SECCAP).

The online SECCAP admission portal—www.seccap.dges.gos.pk—will begin accepting applications on June 15, 2025, and the last date to apply is July 15, 2025. According to official sources, placement lists for various streams will be released by July 22, while Class XII classes will commence on August 1 and Class XI on August 5.

To maintain transparency and equity, the existing College Zone System will stay active in Karachi. Students with A+ or A grades can apply to any college of their choice, while those scoring B to E grades must choose from colleges within their designated zones. This step is expected to ensure balanced placement while rewarding high-achieving students with greater flexibility.

Regional Directors in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana will manage the admission process at the divisional level, under the supervision of the Director General of Colleges, Sindh.

Admissions will be determined using Class IX or O-Level Part-I results, and gender- and faculty-specific placement lists will be compiled by the IT section of the Directorate General of Colleges. Final approval will rest with the Chairman SECCAP Committee 2025-26.

To facilitate students post-placement, dedicated claim centers for both male and female applicants will be established throughout the province. Students who have previously enrolled in HSC or FSC must formally cancel their prior board registrations and SECCAP entries before reapplying.

It is also important to note that candidates with an educational gap of over five years since their last enrollment will not be eligible for the 2025-26 SECCAP admissions cycle.
