Islamabad, June 19, 2025: Skardu Airport recently achieved a new milestone, handling a remarkable 14 flights in a single day. This record-breaking surge reflects a significant increase in tourism activity in the region, with robust flight operations arriving from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority, this big increase in air traffic shows that more tourists are visiting the area. Many flights came from major cities like Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
The Airports Authority said that having more flights makes it easier for people to visit Skardu. This also helps to show that Skardu is a great place for tourists to come and enjoy.

On this record-breaking day, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) operated four flights to Skardu, and Air Blue added three more.
This rise in flight frequency is a strong positive sign, indicating a new era for both tourism and the local economy in Skardu.
The Pakistan Airports Authority emphasizes that this increase in flights not only makes Skardu more accessible for visitors but also strongly promotes the region as a premier tourist destination.
