A viral video claiming to show Saudi Arabia’s Sky Stadium in NEOM City has been confirmed as fake, with officials clarifying that the clip has no connection to any official project. The video, which was widely believed to depict the design of a 2034 FIFA World Cup stadium, was actually created using artificial intelligence.

According to Arab media reports, the so-called Sky Stadium is not part of any Saudi government development plan. The creator of the viral clip admitted that the visuals were entirely AI-generated and purely imaginative. Despite this, millions of users online mistook the futuristic concept for a real project linked to the upcoming World Cup.

The AI-generated video of the Sky Stadium has already been viewed over 50 million times worldwide. It showed a futuristic arena floating high above the ground, sparking excitement and confusion among football fans and social media users alike.

Saudi Arabia, however, is indeed preparing for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, having officially secured hosting rights. Government sources confirmed that the country plans to build 15 advanced stadiums for the event.

Construction of the NEOM stadium is expected to begin in 2027 and be completed by 2032, aligning with the country’s broader vision for sustainable and innovative infrastructure.
